Amazon Rain Forest Expeditions and Cultural Journeys

Join me for little walk in woods.

I was first drawn to the rain forest through my photographic interests in 1985 and have been going back ever since with my wife, Neila, and my son, Nicolas. The trips I organize are not sterile voyeuristic experiences,...you just can not help but get involved for a little while with the people you will meet along the way. We go places no one else can and see things you will not see anywhere else.

I came upon this simple domestic scene once on the river bank, and as my wife talked to Maria, she continued to do the laundry. I was so moved by the simplicity and warmth of the scene it has become one of my favorite shots.

The best place to sit as you do your laundry at the river shore is in a canoe, and the best place to learn how it is done, is also in the canoe, as little Anna is finding out. The Amazon is a vibrant growing area in so many ways. The wilderness, the people, the environment. It overwhelms and captivates the senses and the imagination. There is so much to see and experience here for the voyager with an open eye and an open mind.

I am inviting you on a once in a lifetime journey to adventure.
